• What are Homadorma Service Fees?

  To help operate the Homadorma homestay platform, we charge various service fees.

    • Free transaction
    • Direct communication with students
    • Free advertising
    • Free professional photo shoot
  • Student service fees
    • When a reservation is confirmed, we charge students a mandatory Homestay Placement fee of $. Students see this fee on the host profile page and checkout page before they book a reservation.

  Students may purchase other optional services on Homadorma.com.

• What is the security deposit?

  Security deposit is not an extra service fee that Homadorma charges, but a deposit paid to the host. Security deposit is equivalent to the monthly fee of the homestay. Homadorma collects the security deposit on behalf of the host at booking. Homadorma then holds the security deposit in our bank account if the student selects stay guarantee, or transfers the security deposit to the host if the student selects no stay guarantee.

• What is the payment processing fee?

  To protect the financial security of our customers, Homadorma does not store payment sensitive payment information in our own database. We instead work with leading payment partners to support various payment methods. The payment processing fee is charged by our payment partners to process payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express.

• Is security deposit a damage deposit?

  Security deposit is not a damage deposit. It can not be used to compensate the host for damage caused by the student that is beyond normal wear and tear. In the case that such damage to the property is caused by the student, the student is responsible for paying for the fix of the property damage directly to the host.
